Job summary

Tremains Primary School is seeking a Supervisory Assistant to join during lunchtimes, working one hour daily between 11:45am and 2:00pm, term time only. The role is temporary up to 31 August 2027 with training provided. Welsh language ability is a requirement for this post, and a DBS check is mandatory.

Salary is £3,001 per annum for 5 hours per week. Additional duties include supervising children at lunch and engaging pupils in playground games, in a supportive team environment within Bridgend

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children would be advantageous.
• Ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
• DBS check is a requirement for this post.
• Training will be provided.

Tremains Primary School is seeking to appoint a Supervisory Assistant to work one hour during the lunchtime period, between 11.45am and 2.00pm every day, term time only.

Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the supervision of the children during lunchtime together with actively engaging pupils in playground games.

Experience of working with children, and the ability to encourage good behaviour and play amongst pupils would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.
