Job summary

Ringway Surrey is seeking an experienced Supervisor to lead site operations on highway projects. You will supervise teams, subcontractors and the supply chain, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while coordinating with clients and stakeholders.

This role requires strong communication, a proactive safety approach and the ability to interpret drawings and project programmes. Surrey-based position with opportunities for professional development within Ringway.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within highways, civil engineering, utilities or wider infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to manage operational teams and coordinate multiple work activities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and project programmes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site operations and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with programme requirements.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors across multiple projects and activities.
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and support successful project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Conduct site inspections, safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain accurate site records, project documentation and reporting.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout project delivery.
• Support traffic management and network coordination activities.
• Identify and resolve site issues quickly to minimise disruption and maintain progress.
• Promote and champion a positive safety culture across all operations.

About the Role

Due to continued growth and an increasing programme of capital investment, we are looking for a Supervisor to join our Surrey team.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of highway improvement, maintenance and infrastructure projects that enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of the local road network. Working across a varied portfolio of schemes, you'll supervise operational teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• CSCS Card.
• Experience working on highways maintenance, major projects or civil engineering schemes.
