Salary

£46,775.42 per annum + 5% for weekend working

Contract

Permanent, full time – 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday

We are seeking an NVQ Level 3 qualified Electrician with experience leading teams to join our team at HMP Whitemoor, a High Security Adult Male prison. Join a team that works Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP Whitemoor runs like a self‑contained city and our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operation. As an Electrical Supervisor you will work alongside experienced colleagues from plumbing, carpentry, painting, cleaning and administration, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for everyone.

Qualifications & Experience

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent
• Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical, building services
• Experience supervising staff
• Full driving licence, preferably with D1
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 18th Edition
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
