Your new firm: Our client is a leading law firm with offices located globally. Acting for over 40 insurance companies and self-insured corporates, this quality commercial firm is currently looking for a Supervisor to join their Credit Hire Litigation team based in Newport. The team deals with credit hire claims from small track to multi-track, including fraudulent credit hire claims. They also handle liability, indemnity, and associated losses including personal injury, credit repair, and diminution. The team has a progressive approach and a market-leading reputation for not only tackling the claims themselves from a litigation perspective but also for tracking and analyzing behaviors and trends to provide insurers with bespoke strategies and adapt to changing market behaviors.
The firm actively encourages and supports professional funding for further qualifications such as Cilex or to qualify as a solicitor. They offer genuine flexibility regarding when and where you work to meet personal and work commitments, although given the supervisory role, it is expected you will be in the office 3–4 days a week. In this role, you will have direct supervision and management of a small team handling volume litigated credit hire cases. Your responsibilities include:
You will also act as a point of contact for clients, support marketing and business development activities, and handle a small caseload of mixed-value pre-litigated and litigated credit hire claims.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervision experience, preferably in credit hire litigation, but other supervision backgrounds will be considered. Experience handling a caseload involving credit hire, personal injury, or similar case types is required. Strong people management skills, including motivating, coaching, and mentoring team members, are essential. Experience with claimant and defendant cases will be advantageous.
