Job summary

Entertainer in Barnstaple is seeking a 30-hour Supervisor to support the Store Manager and lead a small team to deliver excellent service. You will open/close the store, manage daily operations and promotions, and contribute to stock control and recruit support when needed, with weekend cover and flexibility to meet peak period demands.

The role offers training, career progression, and a chance to demonstrate commercial flair while maintaining high store standards and customer focus.

When you join us as a Supervisor at The Entertainer, Barnstaple High Street you will be a key member of the store’s management team and a role model for our Sales Assistants. You will be there to support your Store Manager in the day to day running of your store, ensuring the team are focussed and performing to their full potential, andshow your manager what you’re all about when running the store independently to cover days off and holidays.

You will have the opportunity to make a real difference with your colleagues too, playing an important role in coaching and motivating the team to help them achieve the best they can be in both their personal development and helping the store deliver exceptional store standards and customer service.

You will be energetic, outgoing, keen and possess a natural flair for retailing. Ideally you will live within 30-45 minutes of your store and be flexible to work the shift patterns that the store operation requires, especially during October to December. Weekend key-holder cover is also a basic requirement of this role.

As a 30hour Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and closing the store, including Sundays on a rota basis andrunning the store successfully in the absence of the Store management
• Ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations and routines including cash and till areas, dealing with customer refunds and till reconciliations
• Lead by example, demonstrating an exceptional customer service experience, inspiring your team to do the same
• Implement in-store promotions, be commercial and ensure staff are motivated and well informed
• Actively participate in stock management including stockroom standards, managing deliveries, merchandising and minimising stock loss
• Routine store administration including starters & leavers, rota management and supporting recruitment when asked
