Job summary

Gov Facilities Services Limited (GFSL) seeks an Electrical Supervisor for HMP Leyhill. The role involves supervising electrical staff and coordinating with a multi-disciplinary facilities team to maintain safe and compliant building services.

Based at HMP Leyhill, the position requires a solid electrical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety. Mon-Fri, permanent role with 39 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience as an electrician or equivalent.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Full driving license preferably with D1.
• C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
• Certificate in BS7671 - The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
• 18th Edition.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge.
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical staff and building services to ensure safe operation.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to support prison facilities.
• Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety regulations.

Job Role: Supervisor Electrical Location: HMP Leyhill, Tortworth Rd, Wotton-Under-Edge. GL12 8BT Salary: £48,412.56 per annum Contract: Permanent - 39hrs per week - Mon-Fri

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP Leyhill, a category D, adult male prison.

As an Electrical Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who vary from Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, to Cleaners, and Administrators, and others, who are all dedicated to making a positive difference, providing a safe and secure environment for all.
