Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd are seeking an experienced In-Store Cleaning Supervisor to join a busy retail site in Stroud. You will lead a small team of around 5 cleaners, oversee daily cleaning operations and ensure the store is maintained to a high standard, with a hands-on approach to support when needed.

The role offers a permanent, early-morning shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 4:00am-11:00am, with a 35-hour week.

Qualifications

• Experience as Cleaning Supervisor or Team Leader
• Experience managing a small cleaning team
• Background in retail, commercial, or in-store cleaning
• Hands-on approach and willing to support the team
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Organised, reliable and able to own a busy site
• High attention to detail and standards
• Confident communicating with team and site management
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and cleaning procedures
• Comfortable working early mornings and Sundays

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of cleaning services in-store
• Lead, support and motivate a team of around 5 cleaners
• Ensure store is cleaned to a high standard
• Carry out regular quality checks and inspections
• Manage rotas, holidays, attendance and day-to-day staffing requirements
• Support recruitment, training and development of team members
• Remain hands-on and support with cleaning duties when required
• Ensure cleaning equipment and products are used correctly
• Build strong relationships with the store management team
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures and company policies are followed
• Take ownership of issues and resolve them quickly and effectively

New Permanent Opportunity - In-Store Cleaning Supervisor - Stroud - £14.50 per hour

Are you an experienced Cleaning Supervisor or Cleaner that has experience leading a team looking for a new challenge? Have you worked as a Supervisor in Hospitality, Retail or Logistics? Would you like to work at one permanent, in-store site where you can take ownership of the cleaning operation and lead a small team?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced In-Store Cleaning Supervisor to join a fantastic team based at a busy retail site in Stroud.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in commercial or retail cleaning who enjoys being hands-on, leading a team and taking pride in delivering consistently high standards. You'll be responsible for managing a team of around 5 cleaners, overseeing the day-to-day cleaning operation and ensuring the store is maintained to a high standard.

The working pattern is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 4:00am - 11:00am, giving you a consistent permanent schedule.

Your Role

About You

• Strong leadership and people management skills
