We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We\'re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team. We look after 60 million meters and our teams provide advanced metering solutions to help manage demand for essential suppliers.

What will you be doing?

As our Metering Supervisor you\'ll be working on our Southern Water Metering contract across Kent Sussex and Hampshire. As a member of the Smart Metering Operational Team, you\'ll be responsible for the performance within Smart Metering. Ensuring that we achieve all specified KPIS and regulatory targets. You\'ll work collaboratively with framework contractors, direct operational teams and the service delivery team to ensure to enable delivery in compliance with clients challenging SLA\'s. Delivering customer excellence and working compliantly to ensure we deliver compliant regulatory performance.

You\'ll need to ensure the work that we carry out is completed safely. This is our number 1 priority and must never be compromised. Adherence to all safety legislation and procedures to ensure compliance with this legislation is mandatory. It\'s the plumbing supervisor\'s role to lead by example and ensure strict compliance.

As our metering supervisor you\'ll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of a geographical working area and a team of plumbers/engineers. Ensuring all works are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with both M Group Water, Horizon Water Infrastructure and Southern Waterprocedures.

You\'ll also be responsible for ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the relevant specifications and standards. Identifying causes of problems and to deploy or ask for resources to solve problems on own initiative. You\'ll be required to demonstrates leadership skills, appropriate communication strategies; can read plans, think through problems and flexible to adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Strong leadership, analytical capability, and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Are you an effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with operatives?
  • Do you have proven IT skills particularly - MS Office - excel, word, PowerPoint Thames Water Metering Systems, TEAMS, FYLD?
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Are you a flexible Team worker, ability to work volumes under pressure?
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
