Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to join a Kinship Team. This role requires a Social Work qualification with a minimum of 3 years post-qualified experience in permanent contracts.

The team supervises foster carers to ensure safe, stable, high‑quality care, completes assessments and reports, and works with multi‑agency professionals to support every child’s well-being. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipDW/CQSW) with post-qualifying experience in Children's Social Work.
• A valid UK driving licence and vehicle are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide regular supervision and coaching to foster carers.
• Ensure compliance with policies and standards and complete assessments and reports.
• Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to promote each child's well-being.
• Act as advocate and link between carers, the agency and wider support networks.
