Nottinghamshire County Council is dedicated to improving lives and supporting our community. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and families. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
There is an exciting opportunity within the Countywide Fostering Service for a Supervising Social Worker to support Kinship Carers. These dedicated individuals are fully approved foster carers who provide loving homes for Children We Care For in long-term arrangements. While most carers are based in Nottinghamshire, some may be located out of county, so a willingness to travel is essential.
In this role, you will engage in reflective discussions during monthly supervision sessions, focusing on therapeutic parenting approaches. You will ensure that Kinship Carers meet training requirements, collaborate effectively with professionals, and address the needs of the children in line with fostering expectations.
Additionally, there may be opportunities to complete Form K Kinship Assessments as required. Don't miss out on this chance to make a real impact!
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff to share this commitment and undergo appropriate checks.
Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
Nottinghamshire County Council strives to ensure that it goes beyond the requirements of the Equalities Act and prides itself as a Disability Confident Leader Organisation.
Under the Disability Confident scheme (formerly known as the Guaranteed Interview Scheme) we would like to ensure applicants with disabilities are offered an interview if they meet the minimum criteria for a job. Please let us know if this is something you would like to be considered for.
A job share scheme is available for all full-time posts: both permanent and temporary, unless otherwise stated.
Nottinghamshire County Council strongly encourages applications from all candidates from different walks of life, irrespective of gender, marital status, disability, race, religion, belief, pregnancy and maternity status, age or sexual orientation.
