About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service right to our customers’ doors. You will actively embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly operation.

Note: You need to be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Check your delivery routes for the day.
2. Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery to customers.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road, prioritizing excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.

Essential Skills and Experience

1. Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
2. Excellent customer service skills.
3. Strong time management skills.
4. Ability to handle physical tasks (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
5. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
6. IT literacy.

Desirable Skills and Experience

1. Previous driving experience, preferably with knowledge of chilled vehicles.

Work Hours

37 hours per week, including weekends.
