About the role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you'll help make a difference for our customers on every visit by providing partner-led service and a passion for food that sets us apart. Your drive to go the extra mile will enhance the customer experience and foster loyalty to the Waitrose brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock replenishment: ensuring shelves are stocked and products are correctly placed for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders for delivery.
• Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns on nearing expiry items.
• Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect, and fulfilling on-demand orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with shopkeeping tasks.

Essential skills/experience

• Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.

Desirable skills/experience

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Interest and knowledge in food and drink trends.
• Flexibility to support the branch as needed.
