Job summary

Bedford School is seeking a Matron to work in the prep school Boarding House on Sundays, providing pastoral support and helping run the boarding house. Duties include caring for boarders and deputising for Houseparents while ensuring safeguarding and welfare of children.

We are looking for a Matron, to work in our prep school Boarding House on Sundays, providing pastoral support to pupils and helping with the practical elements of running the boarding house.

Our Matrons provide care and support to boarders, assist with the smooth running of the house and deputise for the Houseparents in their absence.

Working hours will be 9:30am to 5:30pm. This is a term time only role which includes working on the last Sunday of school half term breaks and 2 cleaning days per year.

This equates to approximately 33 Sundays per academic year.
