Laing O'Rourke is offering a Summer Placement Programme in the UK, providing hands-on experience on live projects within our Explore Manufacturing Design Centre. The role is ideal for motivated Civil/Structural Engineering students aiming to start a graduate career in construction and engineering.

You’ll gain practical skills, collaborate with experienced professionals, and have the chance to progress toward professional accreditation while moving across locations as projects demand.

Competenze

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• ICE/IStructE accreditation pathway via this role.

Mansioni

• Design and check structural solutions for precast products – from manufacture and lifting to installation.
• Provide value engineering to balance safety, cost, and sustainability.
• Support tender and pre-construction teams with structural input.
• Innovate in materials and design to reduce carbon and waste.
• Work across disciplines to meet client needs while maximizing efficiency.
• Become a graduate member of ICE or IStructE and work towards Chartership.
