Kier Group plc in the Essex region is offering an 8-week Summer Placement for a Construction Design Manager. This role supports the design team from inception to completion, giving hands-on experience in coordinating and managing design activities on live projects.

The placement is ideal for a student pursuing a degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Project Management, or Civil Engineering who wants to learn from experienced professionals and develop practical skills for a future

Qualifications

Working towards a degree in Architectural Technology, Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
You demonstrate genuine interest in pursuing a career in design management and the construction industry with motivation to learn and develop professionally
You hold a Full driving licence

Responsibilities

Assisting in the coordination and management of the design process for construction projects
Collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure design specifications are met
Reviewing and analysing project drawings, plans, and specifications for accuracy and compliance with standards
Supporting the development of design solutions that align with project objectives, budget, and timeline
Conducting site visits to understand project requirements and gather relevant data
