Job summary

Arup in the UK is offering a six-week Summer Internship for Mechanical or Building Services Engineering students to gain hands-on design experience and work with multi-disciplinary teams across buildings projects.

Based in Newcastle, you will collaborate with Architects, Building Services, Building Physics and Project Managers, developing skills in sustainability, calculation and the use of 3D and thermal software on live client assignments.

Qualifications

• Final or penultimate year studying towards a MEng or BEng in Mechanical, Architectural or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
• Demonstrate strong motivation and passion for a career in building design.
• STEM minded individuals who are keen to use their engineering acumen to design the services that make Buildings comfortable for their users. You need to be willing to communicate, calculate, keen to learn to use 3D and thermal software and proactive in developing ideas into designs.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of project teams to deliver effective and professional services to clients.
• Collaborate with Architects, Building Services, Building Physics, Geotechnical Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers.
