Job summary

Plexus is seeking a Hardware/Electronics Engineering Intern for a 12‑week summer placement at our Bathgate Design Centre. You will work with senior engineers on circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and hands‑on lab bring‑up to support real client projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Electronic Engineering or related degrees, with knowledge of analogue/digital electronics and exposure to PCB tools or lab equipment.

Qualifications

• Understanding of core analogue/digital electronics concepts.
• Exposure to PCB design tools or lab measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
• Enthusiasm for learning and a passion for electronics hardware.

Responsibilities

• Support schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout for client designs.
• Perform hands-on board bring-up, testing, and hardware debugging in the lab.
• Assist in circuit analysis, simulation, and thermal/power calculations across the design lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers for seamless integration.
