About the role

Own your career and build something to be proud of at Balfour Beatty. Join our Balfour Beatty Asset & Technology Solutions team as a Suction Excavator Senior Supervisor. Work with experts who will share knowledge, provide support, encouragement, and invaluable feedback to help you grow.

What you'll be doing

1. Implement risk assessments and method statements as required, reviewing and writing them accordingly.
2. Ensure all staff, including subcontractors, understand rules, regulations, standards, and policies, maintaining systems to protect health and safety.
3. Maintain regular contact with customers for feedback on service quality and performance, resolving any issues effectively.
4. Monitor the use of internal and external suppliers to ensure compliance.
5. Conduct digital Site Audits, record and close out corrective actions.
6. Provide safety feedback to the Operations Manager.
7. Support business growth opportunities.
8. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
9. Promote raising Observations and Close Calls, investigate and close them out for the Suction Excavator Business.

Essential qualities/experience:

• CPCS Blue Suction Excavator Operator Qualification
• Willingness to work flexibly and embrace challenges
• Strong knowledge of health and safety
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence
• Strong record keeping and communication skills
• Customer service skills
• Computer literacy
• Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS): Site Safety Plus

Desirable qualities/experience:

• Experience/Knowledge of construction industry
• Conflict management skills
• HGV DQC Professional Driver qualification
