Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is hiring a Subway Sandwich Artist for the Grantham SPAR store. You will greet customers, assemble sandwiches and handle payments while maintaining a clean, friendly environment.

Reporting to the Subway Duty Manager, you will work as part of a small team, enjoy delivering excellent service, and help keep the shop stocked and running smoothly during busy shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
• Understanding of health and food safety regulations in a food environment.
• Ability to contribute ideas to improve customer service at SPAR Grantham.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sandwich ingredients and bake items per guidelines.
• Explain menu items and options to customers.
• Neatly prepare sandwiches according to orders.
• Restock ingredients to maintain supply during shifts.
• Use till to take orders, process payments and give change.
• Follow Subway, SPAR and company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to food handling, safety and sanitation standards.

Subway Sandwich Artist (SPAR) Grantham

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sandwich Artists to work in the SUBWAY department within our Grantham SPAR store who enjoy having fun working as part of a small team. We are looking for someone who is motivated, friendly, hands-on. Reporting directly to the Subway Duty Manager, as a Sandwich Artist in our Subway, you will display exceptional customer service, greeting and interacting with our customers in helpful and friendly manner, creating a pleasant experience while completing orders.

Tasks/Responsibilities

• Preparing of all sandwich ingredients, to include baking of cookies/bread and washing, cutting, slicing, chopping and grating of ingredients, in accordance with established guidelines.
• Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu items and explain options to Subway customers accurately.
• Neatly prepare sandwiches according to customer orders.
• Re-stock sandwich ingredients to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift.
• Use the till to record the order, take the payment and give correct change where necessary.
• Understand and adhered to all Subway, SPAR and company operating processes, policies and procedures.
• Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing/preparing/serving food and cleaning the department.

Key Skills/Knowledge

• Previous experience in a similar role and/or industry is preferred
• Some understanding of health and food safety legislative responsibilities in a food environment
• Ability to contribute ideas for delivering exceptional customer service and driving the business at SPAR Grantham forward
• Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
