Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd. is seeking an experienced M&E Operative / Wireman for a major National Grid substation project in Melksham, Wiltshire. The role pays £30 per hour, with 50 hours per week, on a temporary basis, starting ASAP and lasting until 30/04/2027.

You will support electrical installation and M&E works within a substation environment and collaborate with the wider site team to ensure work is completed safely, to the required standards and within timescales.

Qualifications

• NG Person and Electrical Gold Card required.
• Experience in National Grid substations.
• Accreditations to work in National Grid substations.
• Manual Handling
• Strong health and safety knowledge

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical wiring and M&E installation on a substation project.
• Work to drawings, specifications and site instructions.
• Support the wider site team with installation works.
• Follow health, safety, quality and environmental procedures.
• Work safely within a National Grid substation environment.
• Complete tasks within required timescales.
• Maintain high workmanship standards.
• Liaise with supervisors and site personnel as required.
