Job Description

Kinetic Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Fitters to work at Grid substations around Yorkshire. This is a long-term contract running from June 2025 to December 2026, with an attractive hourly rate of around £34 per hour.

Fitter Responsibilities:

1. Installing AIS switchgear including all ancillaries such as earthing and appropriate structures.
2. Ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
3. Collaborating with site managers, engineers, and other trades.

Fitter Requirements:

• Valid ECS or CSCS card (essential).
• National Grid Persons certification (essential).
• Proven experience as a Fitter, ideally within substation, industrial, or energy sector projects.
• Northern Powergrid codes/authorisations up to 132kV.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards.
• Flexibility to travel and work away when required.
