Job summary
Murphy is recruiting for a Design Manager to lead the engineering design delivery of major Transmission HV substation projects in the UK. The role involves managing design across tender, FEED and detailed design stages, coordinating HV Plant, Protection & Control, and Civils with a mix of internal and external designers and OEMs.

Qualifications
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary design packages.
- Experience as Principal Designer Representative under CDM 2015.
- Delivery of substation projects for UK Transmission Service Operators is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering design delivery of existing Transmission HV 132/275/400kV substations and extensions.
- Lead design management at tender/ECI and allocate resources during tender, FEED, and detailed design stages.
- Coordinate HV Plant, Protection & Control, and Civils with internal/external designers and OEMs.
- Ensure design information is properly managed to CDM 2015 requirements.
- Support continual process improvement within Design Management.
