Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Section Engineer to join our team on a major National Grid infrastructure programme in North Wales. You will coordinate design and construction activities for designated substation civil works and work closely with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, with on-site leadership experience and a strong focus on quality, health and safety, and programme

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Construction Engineering or equivalent.
• Desirable: professional qualification/chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities for designated sections of substation civil works.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs and requirements.
• Oversee site investigations, surveying, setting out and control activities.
• Provide technical support to construction teams and subcontractors.
• Maintain records and project documentation; ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Support planning, risk management and resource coordination on site.
