Hays is currently recruiting a Substance Misuse Support Worker on a temporary ongoing basis based in Stoke-on-Trent.

Your new role

You will work as a Substance Misuse Support Worker, managing your own caseload of clients experiencing substance misuse and addiction issues. Your responsibilities include supporting clients in their recovery journey, ensuring adherence to support plans, signposting to relevant services, liaising with internal and external agencies, referring clients where appropriate, and providing emotional support.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have proven experience in a similar role working with clients facing substance misuse or addiction issues, and hold a full UK driving license. Experience working with homeless individuals is advantageous. You should also be competent in developing support plans, completing related paperwork, and liaising with external professionals.
