Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Buckinghamshire substance misuse service. You will provide operational leadership, ensure high-quality, person-centred support, and collaborate with commissioners and local partners to meet community needs.

The role requires strong management skills, safeguarding expertise, and the ability to drive service improvement using data and community feedback. This permanent position is 37 hours per week in Buckinghamshire.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in health, social care or related field.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Sound understanding of substance misuse, safeguarding and risk management.
• Experience using data/insight to drive service improvement.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service operationally to deliver high-quality, person-centred support.
• Inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team with effective supervision.
• Build partnerships with commissioners, NHS services and local organisations.
• Drive performance using data and service-user feedback.
• Champion recovery and safeguarding, ensuring accessible services across Buckinghamshire.
