Job summary

Waythrough, in partnership with Inclusion NHS, is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Buckinghamshire Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, drive service performance, and ensure high-quality, person-centred support for people affected by substance misuse.

This permanent, full-time role requires strong leadership, collaboration with commissioners and health services, and the ability to translate data and lived experience into continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within substance misuse, health, social care or related field.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, with experience developing multidisciplinary teams.
• Clear understanding of safeguarding, risk management and wider social determinants.
• Experience using data and evidence to drive service improvement and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service operationally, ensuring high-quality, safe and person-centred substance misuse support.
• Inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team, providing leadership, supervision and development.
• Build partnerships with commissioners, NHS services, local authorities and community organisations.
• Drive performance and continuous improvement using data, insight and service-user feedback.
• Champion recovery, safeguarding and inclusion, ensuring accessibility and trauma-informed care.
