Job description

Archer Resourcing has a great new Substance Misuse Nursing position available in Uxbridge.

If you are a hard-working and empathetic individual looking to start a challenging yet rewarding role, this could be the perfect opportunity. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team managing and treating individuals with problematic use of psychoactive substances related to alcohol and drugs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing physical and mental health
  • Continuously evaluating the psychological, emotional, social, and rehabilitative needs of clients/patients
  • Engaging with individuals with mental health issues, assessing their needs, designing, delivering, and evaluating interventions
  • Providing services for individuals with complex needs
  • Delivering clinical interventions to support recovery
  • Raising awareness of risks associated with drugs and alcohol
  • Participating in opiate and alcohol interventions
  • Leading harm reduction initiatives
  • Ensuring safe storage and administration of medications

Requirements:

  • Experience engaging with individuals with mental health problems, assessing needs, and delivering interventions
  • Risk assessment and management skills
  • Relevant degree
  • Enhanced DBS check within the last 12 months (on the update service preferred)
  • Current NMC registration
