Job summary

Northumberland County Council in Morpeth is seeking an experienced Social Worker for the Substance and Alcohol Team to help improve wellbeing and independence of adults affected by substance misuse. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, manage your own caseload, and work with health professionals to deliver person-centred support while following Care Act duties.

ASYE completion and SW England registration are required; a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
• ASYE programme completed.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for adults in need.
• Manage your own caseload with supervision from Team Manager.
• Collaborate with health professionals and partner services to deliver person-centred support.
• Understand and apply Care Act statutory duties.
