Job summary

Coalesce Management Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex marine and subsea equipment projects in a hands-on, project-focused role. You will work across design, production, and commissioning, bridging management and engineering while driving design reviews and system integration.

The role is a 6-month contract, outside IR35, with hybrid working in Newcastle.

Qualifications

• Experience in marine, shipbuilding or subsea fields.
• Planning and team management and commissioning.
• Ability to interpret engineering requirements and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Act as a bridge between Project Management and Engineering, coordinating technical activities.
• Lead and participate in design reviews, respond to Technical Queries, and maintain action trackers.
• Field project-related questions on system integration and interfaces, ensuring clear communication between internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Liaise across Production, Purchasing, Commissioning, Quality, and Finance to ensure project milestones are met.
• Develop and review core engineering documents, including: Design directives and standards; Test, commissioning, and installation procedures.
• Oversee aspects of fabrication, assembly, testing, and paint, ensuring quality and adherence to engineering requirements.
