Job summary

Aquaterra Energy is seeking a practical and safety conscious Workshop Technician to join our Operations team in Great Yarmouth on a full time basis. You will prepare, inspect, maintain, reassemble and test specialist equipment used to support our offshore engineering projects.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and working with Project Engineers and colleagues, you will mobilise equipment, ensure it is returned in a serviceable condition and contribute to health, safety, environment and

Qualifications

• Qualification in engineering or mechanical discipline (City & Guilds/NVQ) is required.
• Previous mechanical or technical experience preferred.
• Good IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication and professional writing skills.
• Able to adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, reassemble and test equipment across product lines.
• Prepare and redress specialist tools and equipment for offshore projects.
• Support factory acceptance testing at yard and off-site premises.
• Mobilise equipment for offshore project phases.
• Manage project inventory and assist demobilisation.
• Record measurements, serial numbers, elevations and depths.
• Operate forklift trucks as trained.
• Support Supervisors and Project Engineers.
• Assist with QA/QC activities under QHSE guidance.
• Maintain workshop and warehouse housekeeping.
• Participate in on-call rota.
• Follow ISO 9001 procedures.
