Job summary

Proserv is seeking a hands-on technician to assemble subsea control components in our on-site facility. You will read engineering drawings, perform assembly and testing, and support FATs and hyperbaric testing as required.

Collaboration with SCM and Engineering is essential to hit production targets while maintaining high quality and safety standards. The role emphasizes practical skills, fault-finding, and documentation accuracy, with opportunities for continuous improvement and career

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a mechanical/manufacturing/engineering environment.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, procedures and work instructions.
• Practical assembly and fitting skills with safe use of tools and production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Able to follow test procedures and complete production and quality documentation.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Basic electrical knowledge including meters and insulation resistance testing.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet quality standards, production targets and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assembly and fitting of subsea control components per drawings and procedures.
• Operate test equipment and test components to meet specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and work instructions.
• Support fault-finding and troubleshooting; escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with FATs: preparation, execution and recording results.
• Support hyperbaric testing where required.
• Operate tooling and production equipment safely.
• Complete production, build, test and quality documentation.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report faults.
• Collaborate with SCM and Engineering to meet targets and deadlines.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in practices, quality and efficiency.
