Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor to support a Year 9 student in Bradford, working in the student’s home. The role requires flexibility to fit within school hours (9am–4pm) and roughly 12 hours per week. Experience with children and a positive, patient approach are essential, with SEN experience desirable.

Candidates should have Right to Work in the UK and DBS checks. DBS on update service and references are preferred, with the option to start ASAP and ongoing until further notice.

• Ability to tutor 1:1 with a Year 9 student.

Prospero Teaching Tutors in Bradford

The ideal candidate should be hardworking, dedicated, and eager to aid students in their learning journey. Candidates should have experience working with children, whether that be tuition, teaching and classroom roles, or pastoral and care employment.

Additional details below:

• Location: BD23, within the students home.
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: Ongoing
• Hours: 12 per week, client is flexible on timings, but must take place within school hours, 9am - 4pm.
• Pay: GBP20 - GBP30 per hour.
• The Role: Tuition for a Year 9 aged student working below expected age range. SEN experience would be desired.

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS (desired but not required), or previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis.
• Proven track record of improving student performances.
• Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable, but not required.
• Up to date safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as safeguarding training is provided)
• DBS on update service.

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK.
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references from your previous two years of employment.
