Job description

Job overview
A fantastic opportunity for a dynamic colleague to join our vibrant and successful school for the Autumn term of 2025.

Working at Hampstead School, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a supportive, innovative, and dynamic department.

Social Sciences at Hampstead School are highly popular at KS3, 4, and 5. Students benefit from a diverse curriculum, leading to high participation rates and strong GCSE and A level results, with many students continuing these subjects at university. At KS3, students can also study Social Studies, exploring political, psychological, sociological, and religious topics to contextualize the world and build foundational knowledge.

We seek a candidate with experience in teaching a Social Sciences subject who demonstrates genuine passion and enthusiasm for leading these subjects within the faculty. You will have the opportunity to develop as a middle leader, oversee curriculum development, and offer students enriching experiences beyond the classroom.

What we offer

  • A collaborative faculty that is experienced, innovative, and supportive
  • Consistently strong results with high uptake of Social Sciences at KS3, 4, and 5
  • The chance to develop as a dynamic classroom practitioner, playing a key role in the evolution of our curriculum and preparing students for the future.

We need you to be

  • A highly reflective teacher committed to continuous improvement
  • Dedicated to building strong relationships with staff and students
  • Passionate about teaching Religious Studies at GCSE and A Level
  • Interested in evidence-based teaching strategies that enhance student learning
  • Enthusiastic about leading and developing Social Studies subjects (History, Geography, Politics, Religious Studies, Sociology, Psychology, Criminology, and Social Studies) within the faculty.
