Rochdale Sixth Form College invites applications for a Subject Leader of Maths. Based at Rochdale Sixth Form College, you will lead a large and high-performing Mathematics provision across A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Statistics and related pathways.

You will inspire teachers and students, drive curriculum development, and use data to improve outcomes, with a clear path for career progression within a supportive, ambitious educational environment.

Subject Leader of Maths

Location: Rochdale Sixth Form College, College Road, Rochdale, OL12 6HY

Start Date: January 2027

Contract: Full-time – Permanent

Salary: Highly competitive salary, dependent on the experience and calibre of the successful candidate

Mathematics is a thriving, ambitious and highly successful area of the curriculum at Rochdale Sixth Form College. With over 600 students across Years 12 and 13 studying A Level Mathematics, this represents one of the college's largest curriculum areas and offers an exciting opportunity to lead a substantial and high-performing provision.

Our curriculum is deliberately broad and ambitious. Alongside A Level Mathematics, around 80 students study AS or A Level Further Mathematics, with a further 80 students studying A Level Statistics. We also offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) and GCSE Mathematics, providing pathways that enable students with different starting points and aspirations to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and skills.

You will be joining RSFC at a very exciting time in its development and there are always opportunities for career progression for hardworking and resilient colleagues.
