Job summary

Operations Resources is seeking a Subcontract Electrician to support the installation of new drive-thru systems across Southern UK. You must have your own tools and vehicle and be available for a six-week project.

Tasks include disconnecting/reconnecting power, wiring to 3-pin sockets, replacing breakers, installing SWA cabling, and performing safety-tested work; regular travel and overnight stays are expected.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required.
• Experience carrying out electrical installation work on drive-thru systems.

Responsibilities

• Disconnect and reconnect power supplies.
• Connect power to 3-pin sockets and replace breakers when required.

• Travel across Southern UK with regular overnight stays.

Job description

Subcontract Electrician

Looking for an experienced contractor with own tools and vehicle to support installations of new drive-thru systems.

Start is on site for around 14:00, small sites are completed in around 3 hours, average is around 5.

Payment is £300 per job, with materials, accommodation and food allowances paid on top separately.

For mileage, any distance over 100 miles can be claimed at £0.20 per mile.

We're looking for an electrician based in the South to support a six‑week project across sites throughout Southern UK (anywhere on the M4 Corridor would be a good base).

This phase of outdoor menu board installations will involve disconnecting and reconnecting power supplies, connecting power to 3-pin sockets, carrying out breaker replacements where required, installing or extending SWA cabling, and completing testing to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the required standard.

As sites are spread across the region, regular travel and overnight stays will be necessary.

To apply for this role you must have:

• ECS Gold Card (Registered Electrician)
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification
• AM2 and 18th Edition qualification/training
• Experience carrying out the above work
• Flexibility to travel and stay away from home as required

You will work alongside an experienced civils team responsible for the physical installations. There may also be opportunities to progress onto future projects.
