Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a reliable Electrician for a long-term freelance contract based in London & South East. The role involves reactive maintenance, fault finding, testing, and installing sockets and accessories within secure environments, with full DBS background checks.

You must have CSCS, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, a full UK driving licence, own transport and tools, and fluent English. DBS assistance available.

Job description

Electrician – Long-Term Contract

Location: London & South East

Rate: £200–£220 per day

Contract: Long-term freelance

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join the team on a long-term contract basis.

The initial role will be based within a secured environment, working as part of a day-to-day reactive maintenance team. You must therefore be comfortable working in a secure environment and able to successfully complete the required security vetting.

The Role

• Reactive electrical maintenance and repairs
• Fault finding and diagnostics
• Electrical testing and inspection where required
• Installing and replacing sockets and other electrical accessories
• General electrical repairs and remedial works
• Using power tools safely and effectively

Long term opportunities to work across a wider range of public and private sector sites, including hospitals, educational establishments, social housing and other secure environments.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working as an Electrician
• CSCS card
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Full UK Driving LicenceOwn transport and tools
• Ability to operate power tools
• Fluent English communication skills
• Ability to pass strict background checks and security vetting

A current DBS would be advantageous. If you do not already hold one, assistance can be provided with obtaining this.
