About The Opportunity

This role is responsible for executing subarc welding of products and ensuring that the products meet customer and quality requirements.

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Ensure all welding and subarc welding are carried out according to plans, internal and customer specifications, and other requirements.
• Read and interpret drawings and/or specifications to determine job requirements.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts to obtain the required configuration and positions for welding.
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials.
• Measure the quality of work by examining for defects and measuring workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and symbols.
