Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Sub PM for the Asset Care Team on a 12-month contract. The role supports project planning, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership with a hybrid on-site work pattern requiring 3 days on site per week.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in project management within engineering, construction, or nuclear sectors, with a focus on governance, reporting, and risk management. SC clearance may be pursued if required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a project management role within engineering, construction, or nuclear sectors.
• Experience working with planning and cost engineers to drive project performance and reporting.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, positive attitude with ability to build multi-disciplinary relationships.
• Experience with Integrated Work Management (IWM) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, schedules, resource requirements, and governance to support delivery.
• Act as the key contact for project stakeholders and manage expectations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure roles, deliverables and timelines are clear.
• Assist in developing and monitoring project budgets and resource plans.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks; proactively manage changes and issues.
• Track progress against milestones and ensure deliverables meet quality standards; prepare reports and maintain documentation; ensure governance compliance.

Pay rate: Up to £40 per hour Umbrella DOE
Location: Whitehaven
Hybrid/Remote Working: Minimum 3 days on site per week
Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Role information

• Project Planning & Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, schedules, resource requirements, and governance arrangements to support successful project delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and effective expectation management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Team Leadership & Coordination: Coordinate and support cross-functional teams, ensuring roles, responsibilities, and deliverables are clearly understood and achieved.
• Budget & Resource Management: Assist in the development, monitoring, and control of project budgets and resource plans to ensure efficient delivery.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks while proactively managing issues, opportunities, and change requests.
• Schedule & Quality Control: Monitor project progress against agreed milestones and ensure deliverables meet required quality standards. Communication & Reporting: Produce project reports, performance updates, and maintain accurate project documentation. Compliance & Governance: Ensure project activities are undertaken in accordance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a project management role within the engineering, construction, or nuclear sectors. Strong understanding of project reporting, planning, and delivery methodologies.
• Experience working closely with planning and cost engineers to drive project performance and reporting.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience with Integrated Work Management (IWM) is desirable.
