Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Sub Agent to join the Royal Dockyard team in Plymouth (Devonport). The role focuses on leading a construction/civils/logistics operation within a live MOD site, delivering against set programmes while maintaining HSE standards and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Engineering or Logistics.
• Proven track record in delivering construction, civils or logistics operations.
• SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS certification at the appropriate level.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Strong management skills with experience in leading teams and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and mentor team members with emphasis on health, safety and environmental practices.
• Monitor delivery against programmes, identify challenges and create solutions to minimise impact.
• Manage resources including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors for timely delivery.
• Communicate effectively with site management, planners, engineers, suppliers and client representatives.
• Review risk assessments, method statements and quality processes before works commence.
