Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Sub Agent in the Greatworth to Southam area to lead earthworks supervision on major civil works. You will assist with construction strategy, develop programmes and manage site resources.

The role requires hands-on leadership of the site engineering team and ensuring delivery to contract, safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate with the Agent and Section Foreman, maintain progress reports and contribute to cost control and forecasting.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities with construction supervision.
• Extensive experience in Earthworks techniques.
• Experience in quality assurance and geotechnical management preferred.
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills; valid driving license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction strategy, kick-off meetings, and pre-commencement documentation.
• Allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to meet standards, programme and budget.
• Manage the site engineering team and supervise site/Section Engineers.
• Coordinate construction operations to conform to contract, SHEQ and safety requirements.
• Assist with programme production, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and cost control.

About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We are seeking to recruit a Sub Agent with extensive experience in earthworks to join our team in the Greatworth to Southam Area.

As a Sub Agent you will need to assist with the construction strategy, this includes kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.

This position will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. The Sub Agent will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. Assisting with the coordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role.

This position will assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
