Job summary

Eiffage Kier is looking for a Sub Agent to join the A418 Oxford Over Bridge team in Milton Keynes. You will assist with the construction strategy, manage the site engineering team, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant HNC/Degree, possess supervisory skills, and have a valid driving licence. You will play a key role in resource allocation and site operations, contributing to the success of major infrastructure projects in the UK.

• Must have own transport to attend site(s) in remote areas.
• Full driving licence required.

About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We are seeking to recruit a Sub Agent to join our A418 Oxford Over Bridge team.

As a Sub Agent you will need to assist with the construction strategy, this includes kick‑off meetings, pre‑commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.

This position will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. The Sub Agent will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. Assisting with the co‑ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role.

This position will assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.

About You

• HNC/Degree(Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership(ICE)
• Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
• Must have own transport to be able to attend site(s) in remote areas.
• Full driving licence required.
• You must hold the following competencies:

  • CSCS White, White‑Yellow, Red‑Experienced, Black‑Manager or Gold‑Supervisor
