Job summary

EKFB is recruiting a Sub Agent to join our Aylesbury teams. You will assist with construction strategy, mobilise labour, plant and materials, and help deliver on time, to budget and to quality standards.

You will manage the site engineering team, support preparation of programmes and cost control, and ensure safety, health, environment and quality compliance on site. A driving licence and transport are essential.

Qualifications

• HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering or equivalent; working towards ICE.
• Experience in site engineering with construction supervision skills.
• Own transport to attend site(s) in remote areas; full driving licence; SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS cards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction strategy, kick-off meetings and planning.
• Prepare method statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, and programmes.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to plan and budget.
• Support site engineering team and ensure SHEQ compliance across works.

All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects. We are seeking to recruit a Sub Agent to join our Aylesbury teams, As a Sub Agent you will need to assist with the construction strategy, this includes kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules. This position will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. The Sub Agent will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers. Assisting with the co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role. This position will assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.

About You

• HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE)
• Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
• Must have own transport to be able to attend site(s) in remote areas
• Full driving licence required
• You must hold the following competencies
  • SMSTS or SSSTS;
  • CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor
