Job summary

Preston, Lancashire is the base for this Sub Agent role, which delivers safe, high-quality civil engineering works on major water and wastewater projects. You will lead site teams, coordinate with mechanical and electrical disciplines, and ensure NEC contracts are administered effectively.

Working with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will own work packages, manage programme, cost and quality, and foster strong client relationships to drive successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in civil engineering or equivalent.

Job description

As a Sub Agent, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will take ownership of assigned sections of work, leading teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

You will be responsible for managing multiple work packages, coordinating civil engineering activities with mechanical and electrical disciplines, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements. The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and technical expertise, with responsibility for programme performance, subcontractor management, NEC contract administration and stakeholder engagement.
