Job summary

AA Euro Group is seeking a Sub Agent to oversee delivery of large-scale infrastructure works in the Birmingham area. The role covers planning, resources, logistics, access and site readiness, with daily coordination from build to close-out to meet contract requirements.

You will lead and mentor site staff and supervise subcontractors to maintain quality and progress against milestones. Long-term contract with PAYE or LTD options and accommodation available.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent with multidisciplinary breadth.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors for large projects.
• Excellent team player and leadership, reporting to PM/CM.
• Highly organised with strong coordination skills.
• Strong technical detail orientation and communication.
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015 and applicable standards.
• SMSTS certification required.
• Temporary Works Coordinator certification desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and planning for the delivery of the works, including resources, logistics, access, and construction readiness documentation.
• Manage, coordinate, and supervise the day-to-day site activities from construction through to close out and ensure the works are performed to the contract requirements.
• Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team members to maintain high levels of operational control and support their professional development.
• Oversee the site supervision including subcontractors’ performance and make sure alignment with project objectives and milestones
• Manage the internal and external interfaces with regards to the execution of the works, ensuring effective communication and coordination
• Advise and assist the commercial team in the preparation of all necessary contractual notices and instructions (under NEC contract)
• Review, approve and manage the correct implementation of Method Statements Risk Assessments, and undertake periodic reviews.
• Prepare Temporary Works Design Briefs and Coordinate Temporary Works on site

Essential Experience

• Engineering Degree holder, or similar equivalent, with multi-disciplinary breadth
• Proven experience in managing subcontractors and working with a major contractor
• Excellent team player and team leader, reporting progress to the Project Manager / Construction Manager
• Highly organised with good management and coordination skills
• Strong on technical details and with good communication skills
• Working knowledge of CDM 2015 Regulations and current legislation and standards associated with all engineering aspects
• Essential SMSTS minimum qualified.
• Temporary Works Coordinator desired
