Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Sub Agent (Highways Civil Infrastructure) to supervise and lead site operations across Teesside, Guisborough, Saltburn and Redcar. You'll manage multi-million-pound public realm and infrastructure schemes valued £2.5m to £6m, coordinating subcontractors, setting-out, and weekly programmes on a permanent basis.

Candidate will have civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND/degree) or 10 years heavy civils, SMSTS, CSCS (Gold/Black), UK driving licence, and a proven track

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or minimum 10 years heavy civils experience).
• SMSTS and CSCS card required.
• Clean or low-point UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead site operations on regional civils projects (£2.5m-£6m).

Sub Agent (Highways Civil Infrastructure)

Permanent Position

Location - Teesside / North East (Guisborough, Saltburn, Redcar)

Salary - £55,000 + £7k car allowance

Are you a Sub Agent with a background in civils looking to supervise and lead multi-million-pound public realm and infrastructure projects across Teesside?

We at Randstad are seeking a Sub Agent to manage site engineering and delivery across regional cycle lane, highway improvement, and public realm projects (£2.5m - £6m). Working for a leading Tier-1 Main Contractor sitting at the top of the NEPO agreements, you'll take charge of daily site operations, subcontractor coordination, setting-out guidance, weekly programmes, and quality documentation across local project sites in Guisborough, Saltburn, and Redcar.

The successful candidate will have:

• HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering (or minimum 10 years heavy civils experience)
• SMSTS
• CSCS Card (minimum Gold or Black)
• Clean or low-point UK Driving Licence
• Proven track record delivering local authority highways, public realm, cycleways, or civil engineering schemes (£100k-£5m+)
• Solid operational knowledge of RAMS, CPPs, NEC contracts, weekly programming, and subcontractor management

Desirable:

• First Aid at Work Certificate
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) qualification
