Job summary

Abatec Recruitment is supporting a major client in Gloucester to recruit an experienced Sub Agent for a high-profile civil engineering project.

You will oversee schemes from inception to handover, coordinating labour, plant and materials on site while managing temporary works and health and safety to ensure delivery within time and budget.

Strong on-site leadership and adherence to technical specifications are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• HNC/degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction health and safety protocols.
• SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver schemes from inception to handover.
• Contribute to day-to-day site operations including labour/plant/materials allocation, temporary works, health and safety.
• Ensure projects meet budget, deadlines and client specifications.
• Liaise with Site Agents and provide programme/progress reports.

Job description

A great opportunity for an experienced Sub Agent to work on a major, high-profile project in Gloucester. The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the civil engineering industry, capable of managing subcontractors, and substantial experience in highways, structures and drainage.

As Sub Agent you will:

• Be responsible for delivering schemes inception to handover.
• Contribute to the day to day operations on site, including labour/plant/materials allocation, temporary works, health and safety.
• Ensure that projects are completed within budget, within programme deadlines and to our clients technical specifications.
• Liaise regularly with Site Agents, providing programme and progress reports.

Our client requires a Sub Agent with:

• HNC/Degree or in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• A good understanding of construction health and safety protocols.
• SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS.

Salary/Benefits:

• £450 - £500 per day PAYE Umbrella
