Job summary

GBS in Leeds is recruiting an academic to teach and develop higher education programmes in partnership with universities. The role is on-site, full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week, with a salary of £51,000 per year.

You will design, plan and deliver teaching sessions, assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support student success. You will contribute to programme design and delivery, participate in events and reviews, and stay current with best practice and digital learning

Qualifications

Master's degree in relevant subject area
Demonstrable experience teaching in UK higher education
Experience of widening access environments
Experience supervising student work and providing feedback
Willingness to lead a literacy development area
High level of digital literacy and communication skills
Attention to detail and thorough student records

Responsibilities

Design, plan and deliver teaching sessions to help students develop and sharpen their academic skills
Design assessments and assess student work, ensuring learning outcomes are met
Provide meaningful feedback and academic guidance
Contribute to design, development, delivery, review, and enhancement of programmes
Participate in events such as programme reviews and outreach activities
Keep up to date with best practice in learning and teaching and technologies
Support and disseminate new knowledge in your field or HE practice
