Responsibilities include monitoring attendance, assisting with basic queries, and collaborating with staff to promote student engagement. DBS update service is required and the role sits in a busy sixth-form setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the library and study centre to maintain a quiet, safe environment.
• Provide a welcoming and supportive presence for students using the library.
• Ensure students follow study centre and library procedures.
• Monitor attendance and student use of the study centre.
• Support students with basic queries and direct them to staff or resources.
• Maintain a calm, orderly and focused study environment.
• Help maintain organisation and presentation of library and study resources.
• Report concerns regarding student behaviour, welfare or safeguarding to staff.
• Work with teaching and support staff to promote positive student engagement.
