Job summary

City of Bristol College in Bristol is seeking a Study Centre Co-ordinator to lead the Study Centres (Libraries), ensuring they are welcoming, safe, and resources accessible for students to study independently.

You will work with curriculum and support teams to respond to student needs, promote effective use of the centres, and develop the service through feedback, data and good practice; lead the Study Centre team and foster a positive culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of welcoming, inclusive and purposeful Study Centres (Libraries) that help students study independently and access needed support and resources.
  • Work with the Student Experience team to ensure Study Centres are safe, accessible and engaging spaces for learning, connection and success.
  • Respond to student needs by collaborating with curriculum and support teams, promoting effective use of the centres and developing the service through feedback, data and best practice.
  • Lead and develop the Study Centre team, creating a positive culture where colleagues feel supported and take ownership of their work.

About your role:

The Study Centre Co-ordinator leads the delivery of welcoming, inclusive and purposeful Study Centres (Libraries) that help students to study independently, access the support and resources they need and feel confident within the College environment.

Working as part of the wider Student Experience team, the role provides day-to-day leadership of the Study Centre team and ensures that our Study Centres (Libraries) are safe, accessible and engaging spaces where students can learn, connect and succeed.

The postholder will work closely with curriculum and support teams across the College to respond to student needs, promote effective use of the Study Centres and continually develop the service through student feedback, data and emerging good practice.

A key part of the role is leading and developing the Study Centre team, creating a positive culture where colleagues feel supported, take ownership of their work and understand the difference their contribution makes to the student experience.
