£35k + bonus
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Our client is a brand-new boutique Reformer Pilates, yoga and barre studio opening in Coventry, with a juice bar, a members’ area and a treatment room in its first phase. They’re looking for a Studio Manager to lead the launch, run the studio day to day and help build it into a trusted name in Coventry’s fitness and wellness scene.
This is a rare chance to join a boutique fitness business before the doors open, rather than walking into a model someone else has already set. The owner wants a Studio Manager they can genuinely trust, someone who’ll take ownership of the site and help decide how it runs, from the booking software to the member journey. With a ground-floor clinical and wellness hub planned as Phase 2, there’s real room to grow with the business as it develops.
On offer is a £35k salary plus bonus, a supportive owner who wants to give you real autonomy, and the chance to grow alongside an expanding wellness offering.
Full time, 40 hours per week across mixed shifts.
Studio operations: Leading the day-to-day running of the studio, including class scheduling, utilisation and capacity.
Commercial growth: Driving membership sales and revenue, with a clear focus on reaching break-even and then building on it.
Member experience: Creating a premium, welcoming experience that keeps members engaged, loyal and coming back.
Community and reputation: Building the studio’s local profile through partnerships, outreach and word of mouth.
Team building: Having input into upcoming hires, including an Assistant Manager and part-time reception team, and helping them develop.
Systems and set-up: Helping choose the systems and software the business runs on from day one.
Wellness expansion: Supporting the launch of the first treatment room and, longer term, the development of the ground-floor clinical and wellness hub.
Ownership: Comfortable with autonomy and happy to take genuine responsibility for a site without needing to be heavily managed.
Commercial mindset: A good understanding of sales, membership growth and retention.
Operational experience: A solid track record of running a fitness, leisure or customer-facing operation.
People skills: Strong customer service and leadership skills, with the ability to build and develop a team.
High standards: A real eye for professionalism, service and presentation.
Hands-on approach: Energised by a new opening and happy to roll your sleeves up while things get going.
Nice to have: A Reformer Pilates qualification, boutique studio experience, new opening or pre-sales experience, clinic or wider wellness experience and knowledge of equipment providers.
A £35k salary plus bonus.
The chance to shape a brand-new boutique studio from the very start.
Real trust and autonomy from an owner who wants you to lead.
A voice in hiring your own team.
Clear scope to grow as the business expands into a wider clinical and wellness offering.
